An ERIC-NCERT funded Teacher’s Training Workshop on ‘Auditory Processing in Children – Overcoming the limitations of Online Teaching’ was conducted at JSSISH, Mysuru. Sri. H. K. Pandu, DDPI, Department of School Education, Mysuru was the chief guest for Inauguration and Sri. Rajashekar. B. A, Director, School Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha was the presiding officer. Dr. Suma. R, Principal and Professor, JSSISH, Dr. Hemanth. N, Professor and Head, Dept. of Audiology, JSSISH, and Dr. Srikar. V, Principal Investigator (NCERT Project) were present on the dias. The chief guest in his speech stressed that the incidence of communication disorders in the country is on the rise and institute like ours will play a vital role in increasing awareness among others for early identification. He asked the teachers to make the best use of this workshop and join hands in early identification of children with deficits. Sri. Rajashekar B. A. in his presidential speech said that the teachers play a pivotal role in managing atypical children. He asked the teachers to involve children with special abilities in all the activities possible. He stressed for inclusive education for these children. Experts in the field conducted sessions on various topics relevant to education of children with disability, and on student and teacher welfare.
