About JSS Mahavidyapeetha
JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru was established in the year 1954 by His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, the 23rd pontiff of Jagadguru Sri Veerasimhasana Math, Sutturu. With an intention of social development through education, the JSS Mahavidyapeetha has established Primary schools, High schools, Pre-university and Degree Colleges, Law, Engineering, Medicine, Dental Sciences, Pharmacy, Naturopathy, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Speech and Hearing institutions. Presently, there are over 300 educational institutions running in various parts of the country and the globe.
JSS Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysuru, was established in the year 2001. The institute has immensely contributed to the society by generating quality human resource and providing affordable clinical services. In order to serve the disabled population in northern Karnataka, a second institute has been established at Dharwad in the year 2014. It was inaugurated by His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, the present pontiff of Sri Suttur Math. Being the first of its kind, the institute is offering Bachelors of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) courses in northern Karnataka.
